Desean Thom

DeSean Thom, MD, is an Attending Anesthesiologist at Cedars-Sinai since August 2022. Prior to this role, DeSean Thom completed a fellowship in Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Management at the Hospital for Special Surgery from August 2021 to July 2022 and served as a Resident Physician at Cedars-Sinai from May 2017 to July 2021. DeSean Thom received a Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine between 2013 and 2017, following participation in the Georgetown Experimental Medical Studies (G.E.M.S.) Program in medicine from 2012 to 2013. Earlier academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Virginia, obtained from 2004 to 2009, and research experience focused on genetic and molecular biology with Drosophila Melanogaster and E. Coli as a Research Specialist/Lab Technician from September 2009 to June 2012.
