Kwame Anku is the Chairman & CEO of the Black Star Fund, an early stage innovation fund, since 2018. Prior to the Black Star Fund, Kwame co-founded and served as Principal of the Black Angel Tech Fund. In 2018, they were named "One of the Top 25 Black Venture Capitalists to Watch" by Pitchbook and has worked in business development and media marketing for over two decades. Kwame is also an Aspen Ascend Fellow and a speaker and scholar at the Aspen Ideas Festival.
