Marcel Halma serves as the Senior Vice President, Chief Communications & Public Affairs Officer, and Head of Country Management at Solvay since September 2021, where responsibilities include leading the Corporate Communications and Government & Public Affairs team, and driving transformation within the department. Halma has held key positions in various organizations, including Vice President of Public Affairs & Government Relations at Nouryon, and Global Director of Government & Public Affairs at AkzoNobel. Halma’s expertise includes strategic public affairs, government relations, and communications, demonstrated through roles on boards such as the Management Board of the Fonds Ernest Solvay and Chair of the Management Board of CEFIC Sector Group FPP4EU. With a robust educational background, including multiple master's degrees and executive training from esteemed institutions, Halma combines extensive experience in public policy and diplomacy with advanced leadership capabilities.
