Steven van de Broeck

Steven Van de Broeck is an experienced professional in the field of environmental policy and product stewardship. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Product Stewardship at Cefic since April 2015, Steven has also held roles as Director of REACH & Chemicals Policy and Director of HSSE Policy, focusing on various environmental issues such as water, waste, air, and biodiversity. Prior to Cefic, Steven worked at essenscia as an advisor, addressing environmental concerns including REACh, CLP, and chemical safety assessments. Earlier experience includes a managerial position at Sertius, where responsibilities included environmental impact assessments, and a safety officer role at Masterfoods. Steven holds a Master's degree in Environmental Coordination and a Master of Science in Safety Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, along with a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven.
