Anthony Wicks

Anthony Wicks has a diverse work experience in various technology-related roles. Anthony started their career at Weatherford in 2002 as a Remote Network Administrator, where they managed network projects in different regions. Anthony then worked at British Telecom as a 24Hr Duty Manager before joining Escape Business Technologies as a Network Operations Centre Manager. At Escape Business Technologies, Anthony identified areas for improvement and implemented policies and procedures to enhance the quality of network implementations. Anthony then moved on to Aberdeenshire Council as an Infrastructure Solutions Team Lead, where they directed and managed the delivery of infrastructure development activities. Anthony's most recent role was at Cegal, where they held several positions starting as a Support and Service Operations Manager in 2017. Anthony then became the Enterprise UKA Manager, responsible for managing the regional Cloud Operations team. Later, they became the UKA Cloud Operations Manager, overseeing all cloud operation activities for Cegal's customers in the UKA region. Currently, Anthony works as an Accounts Director - Cloud & IT at Cegal, where they effectively manage a portfolio of Cloud/IT and Business consultancy. Anthony supports customer retention and acquisition activities and creates a strong flow of support and information between the sales and operations teams.

Anthony Wicks attended Thurso High School but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the certification "Managing in a Matrixed Organization" from LinkedIn in 2021 and has several certifications planned for 2023, including "Learning COBIT" and "Understanding the Value of Cloud-Native Architecture" from LinkedIn, "Nasuni Nation Sales 101" from Nasuni, and "Product Focus Certified Product Manager" from Product Focus.
