Mark Simpson

Mark Simpson is an accomplished lighting designer with extensive experience in various capacities across several companies. Since July 2014, Mark has served as an Associate and Lighting Designer at Celano Design Studio Co. Additionally, Mark has been an instructor at the New York School of Interior Design since 2011. Mark's career in lighting design began at New York Theatre in 1994 and has included roles as a Lighting Designer at Jeff Nathan Lighting Design, as well as an Associate Lighting Designer for Memphis the Musical. Mark owned MTSpace Inc from 2003 to 2013 and also worked as a freelance lighting designer for Leni Schwendinger Light Projects LTD. Mark's experience includes consulting for lighting design at Princeton University and various roles at Howell Binkley Lighting and Available Light. Mark holds an MFA in Lighting Design from New York University, an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies from American University, and a BA in Psychology from Case Western Reserve University.
