Alzbeta Tuerkova is the Head of Computer-Aided Drug Design at Celeris Therapeutics since August 2022, previously serving as a Computer-Aided Drug Designer and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Uppsala University from January 2021 to June 2022. With expertise in enveloped viruses, membrane fusion, and molecular dynamics simulations, Alzbeta has developed competencies in setting up and running extensive simulations, scientific writing, and scripting. During a PhD candidacy at the University of Vienna from August 2017 to December 2020, focus areas included hepatic uptake transporters and computer-aided drug discovery, marked by the design of automated data mining pipelines. Additional experience includes a Research Assistant role at CEITEC and a Research Intern position at the European Bioinformatics Institute. Alzbeta holds a PhD in Pharmacy and degrees in Biomolecular Chemistry and Cheminformatics and Bioinformatics from Masaryk University Brno.
