Benton Armstrong

Benton Armstrong has a diverse and extensive work experience. Benton started their career at PwC in 1992, where they served as the Principal and Global & West Region Practice Leader for Forensic Technology Solutions. During their tenure, they launched and managed the global forensic technology business, achieving significant revenue growth and driving global expansion. Benton also played a key role in persuading the global firm leadership to invest in data centers, training, and senior level talent.

In 2008, Benton joined Deloitte as a Principal for Deloitte Discovery. Benton led the launch of the global Deloitte Discovery business, overseeing business operations and leading a team of 1,100 staff in 35 countries. Under their leadership, the business witnessed 8X revenue growth over 6 years. Benton provided valuable insights and advised the global Forensic CEO on various aspects of the business such as strategy, acquisitions, streamlining operations, and profitability.

At Deloitte, they also served as the West Region Practice Leader for Deloitte Discovery. In this role, they rebuilt the regional forensic technology practice and managed all business operations, including professional services, sales & marketing, strategic planning, financial management, recruiting, and performance management. Benton consulted senior executives across industries on compliance matters, regulatory and dispute issues, and global data management and data privacy concerns.

In 2021, Benton worked as an Independent Consultant before joining JLL Partners as a Strategic Advisor for the Legal Services Industry. In this role, they developed a business plan for a global analytics and technology consulting rollup. Benton evaluated US-based acquisition targets, led M&A negotiations, and identified consulting team carve-out options and acquisition targets in multiple countries.

Currently, Benton is the CEO of Celerity Consulting Group, a position they obtained in 2023.

Benton Armstrong earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics, magna cum laude, from North Carolina State University in 1990. Following this, they attended Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Operations Management and Supervision in 1992.
