Julio Lago Canosa

Julio Lago Canosa has a strong background in information technology, with over 26 years of experience in various leadership roles. Julio has held positions at companies such as Celeros Flow Technology, Newpark Resources, Inc, Baker Hughes (a GE company), General Motors, and Procter & Gamble.

At Newpark Resources, Inc, Julio served as the VP and CIO, where they built an IT strategic plan for the company and reorganized the IT function to become a strategic business partner. Julio also reduced IT support costs and implemented new digital products and analytics.

During their time at Baker Hughes, Julio held several senior IT positions. Julio led the integration of GE Oil & Gas with Baker Hughes, overseeing all aspects of the successful transaction. Julio also spearheaded the implementation of sales force automation, resulting in a significant increase in sales productivity. Additionally, Julio developed strategies for workforce optimization and managed IT for various corporate functions.

Before joining Baker Hughes, Julio worked at General Motors, where they held roles such as IT Global Warranty Management Sustain Lead and IS&S Global Customer Care Manager. Julio was responsible for stabilizing operations and reducing costs for critical IT applications. Julio also played a key role in consolidating customer service contact centers and implementing new CRM systems.

At Procter & Gamble, Julio served as a Telecommunications Manager, deploying various technologies and optimizing business processes. Julio also played a vital role in recommending IT infrastructure architecture for a Global Business Services Center.

Throughout their career, Julio has demonstrated a strong ability to align IT strategy with business goals, drive digital transformation, optimize operations, and reduce costs.

Julio Lago Canosa obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Tecnológico de Monterrey during the period of 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1994, they earned a degree in Electronics Engineering from Universidad La Salle, A.C. Furthermore, in May 2004, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
