Kian Chuan Tan

Kian Chuan Tan is an experienced engineering professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Operation Engineering Manager at Celestica since October 2019, Kian oversees engineering and operations across three plants, focusing on line performance and the development of the new EHS department. Previously, Kian held the position of Engineering Manager at Abbott from July 2016 to October 2019, managing maintenance engineering for nutrition industry equipment and overseeing parts management and purchasing. Prior experience includes another role as Engineering Manager at Celestica from July 2011 to July 2016, where responsibilities included preventive maintenance, NPI, project management, and leading a team of engineers and specialists. Kian began the career as an Engineering Manager at Sunningdale Tech Ltd and earlier worked as a Technical Specialist at Hewlett-Packard Singapore. Kian earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of South Australia between 2002 and 2008.
