Vanessa Weisbrod

Vanessa Weisbrod is a seasoned professional in the field of celiac disease education and community engagement, currently serving as the Chief Education and Community Engagement Officer at the Celiac Disease Foundation since January 2024. Previously, Vanessa held the position of Director of the Celiac Disease Program at Boston Children's Hospital from August 2020 to January 2024 and served as the Executive Director of the Celiac Disease Program at Children's National Hospital from October 2008 to August 2020. Vanessa's formative career included roles as Editor at Delight Gluten-Free Magazine and Director of Programming & Communications at the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness. Additionally, Vanessa's early experience includes positions as a Health Care Reporter and a Reporter at advisory and news organizations. Educational qualifications include a BA in Journalism and Political Science from The George Washington University, a degree in Culinary Arts from the Institute of Culinary Education, and certification as a Holistic Nutritionist from the AFPA.
