Lauren Houseknecht

Lauren Houseknecht is a seasoned educator currently serving as a Social Studies Teacher and Department Head at Celina ISD since July 2023. With extensive experience in Advanced Placement education, Lauren has also held the role of AP Reader for ETS since June 2022 and previously contributed to Prosper ISD as an AP Educator specializing in AP Human Geography and Bible History courses from May 2016 to July 2023. Additionally, Lauren has a background in coaching, having served as an Assistant Coach for Varsity and JV Cross Country and Track. Prior experience includes developing district-wide ELAR assessments at Dallas Independent School District and teaching various subjects and coaching at the middle school level. Lauren began their teaching career at Primrose Schools as a Kindergarten Educator. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Historical Studies and Secondary Education from The University of Texas at Dallas.
