David Xu is a Senior Data Scientist at Cell Signaling Technology (CST) since July 2019, specializing in machine learning and graph frameworks for various commercial initiatives. Responsibilities include the development and deployment of machine learning models to identify key proteins and post-translational modifications for product development and collaborating to enhance data science strategies. Previously, David served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis from August 2011 to July 2019, where integration of large-scale datasets facilitated the identification of druggable targets within protein-protein interaction networks. Early experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign involved analyzing genomic data related to stress biomarkers in red mangroves. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Bioinformatics with a minor in Computer Science, an MS in Bioinformatics, and a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
