Product Scientist/senior Product Scientist at Cell Signaling Technology

Jennifer Fuentes has extensive experience in the field of molecular biology and product development, currently serving as a Product Scientist/Senior Product Scientist at Cell Signaling Technology since December 2010. In this role, Jennifer has devised experimental strategies to enhance antibody quality and specificity, leading to the successful market reintroduction of key antibody products. Previously, Jennifer established a laboratory and developed high-throughput cloning strategies as a Scientist. As a Post Doctoral Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, research focused on the protease calpain and its cleavage of the survival motor neuron protein, relevant to Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Jennifer earned a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Michigan, where research included a doctoral thesis on Ribosomal Subunit Biogenesis. Early career experience includes a summer internship at Pharmacia and Upjohn, focusing on pharmaceutical product stability and purity.
