Principal Scientist at Cell Signaling Technology

Sasha Tkachev has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sasha started their career as a PhD student in Particle Physics at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, where they conducted experimental measurements and published research papers. Sasha then worked as a Software Engineer at the Software Technologies Group and later joined Verizon as a Software Engineer. After that, they joined Cell Signaling Technology (CST) as a Bioinformatics Software Engineer, where they performed computational tasks and enhanced a database of post-translational modification sites. Sasha then progressed to the role of Senior Scientist at CST. In 2015, they joined Bluefin BioMedicine as a Senior Scientist. Currently, Sasha is working as a Principal Scientist at Cell Signaling Technology (CST).

Sasha Tkachev has a strong educational background in the field of physics and bioinformatics. Sasha obtained a PhD in Particle Physics from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in 2000 and an MS in Nuclear Physics from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) in 1996. Later, they pursued an M.S. in Bioinformatics at Brandeis University from 2004 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Sasha has also obtained several certifications in various fields, including machine learning, deep learning, and biochemistry, through online platforms like edX and Coursera.
