Vitor Verdelho

Vitor Verdelho is a prominent figure in the fields of cellular agriculture, aquaculture, and algae biomass, serving as the CEO, shareholder, and co-founder of Cell4Food since March 2022, marking it as the first Portuguese startup in cellular agriculture. Holding various leadership roles, Vitor is the General Manager and President of the European Algae Biomass Association since 2014, re-elected for a second mandate in December 2016. As a visiting professor at Católica Porto Business School, Vitor has mentored over 150 businesses and currently teaches in various programs. Additionally, Vitor is the President of the Associação Portuguesa de Algologia Aplicada, a member of the board and shareholder of A4F-Algae for Future, and has managerial roles in multiple organizations, including InnoPhage, Lda. and Ecotlon - Economia na Saúde, Lda. Vitor holds degrees from Universidade do Porto and Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and has extensive experience in promoting entrepreneurship and biotechnology initiatives.
