Arpit Batish

Arpit Batish is an Associate Scientist at Cellares, beginning in February 2024, with a robust background in process development for cell and gene therapies. Previously, Batish served as a Research and Development Engineer III at the University of California, San Francisco, from July 2022 to February 2024, focusing on transitioning laboratory research to clinical applications. Earlier roles include positions at Stanford University as a PDM Scientist and Clinical Process Development and Manufacturing Specialist II, where expertise was applied in the production and cryopreservation of hematopoietic stem cells and gene-corrected stem cells using CRISPR/Cas9 technology. Experience also includes life science research at Stanford University School of Medicine and an internship focused on genome editing for cystic fibrosis mutations. Arpit Batish holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics from California State University Channel Islands, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Microbial Biotechnology and Biotechnology, respectively, from Panjab University.
