Ornella Barrandon

Ornella Barrandon is a highly experienced scientist specializing in in vivo biology and pre-clinical drug development. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Scientist at Cellarity since May 2021, Ornella previously held the position of Principal Scientist at Pfizer from December 2017 to April 2021, where responsibilities included leading the in vivo biology aspect of a hepatic anti-fibrotic program and overseeing multi-disciplinary collaborations for biomarker validation. Prior experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard University, focusing on beta cell replication and metabolic homeostasis, and a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Cambridge. Ornella has demonstrated expertise in developing and characterizing experimental models, leading collaborative research efforts, and producing scientific publications.
