Sophie Tritschler

Sophie Tritschler has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Professional Athlete in endurance sports with the Federal Swiss Orienteering Association and Swiss Olympic from 2006 to 2014. Sophie transitioned their career into academia with roles such as Research Internship at the University of Zurich in 2014 and Teaching Assistant in Statistics at ETH Zurich in 2014. Moving on, they pursued a PHD at Helmholtz Zentrum München from 2016 to 2020, focusing on Machine Learning and Biology. Sophie continued their academic journey with an Associate Researcher and Master Thesis role at the University of Zurich from 2014 to 2016. Sophie then shifted to industry, working at Cellarity from 2019 to the present, progressing from Consultant to Team Lead Computational Biology - Senior Principal Scientist.

Sophie Tritschler completed their higher education qualification at Highschool Zurich in 2009. Sophie then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at ETH Zürich from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at ETH Zürich from 2011 to 2012 as part of an exchange program at Princeton University. Sophie then earned a Master of Science in Systems Biology from ETH Zürich from 2012 to 2015. Sophie continued their academic journey by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Biology from the Technical University of Munich from 2016 to 2019.
