Ashkan Rad is an experienced scientist specializing in theoretical electrochemistry and materials engineering. Currently serving as Application Scientist at SUSS MicroTec since September 2019, Ashkan has previously held positions including Senior Application Engineer and Application Engineer. Prior roles include Visiting Researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart, Postdoctoral Researcher at Freie Universität Berlin, and Research Collaborator at TU Darmstadt, focusing on ionic transport in Li-ion battery materials and the effects of stress/strain on conductivity. Ashkan completed a PhD at Freie Universität Berlin, investigating strain effects on Li-ion conductivity, and holds a Master's degree in Nanotechnology from Ulm University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology.
