Leonid Fomin

Vice President of Product Development at CellFE

Leonid Fomin has extensive work experience in various roles within the healthcare and biotechnology industry. Leonid is currently the Vice President of Product Development at CellFE - Cell Fluidics Engineering. Prior to this, they worked at Roche for 7 years, initially as the Sr. Instrumentation Manager, where they successfully launched a digital slide scanner and tissue dissection instrument. Leonid then became the Director of Product Development and Project Leader, responsible for global product launches of both in vitro diagnostic (IVD) and research use only (RUO) solutions. Before joining Roche, Leonid held multiple roles at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, including Sr Manager, Systems Engineering and Manager, Sustaining Engineering, where they led the development and global launch of a urinalysis instrument. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Biomedical Engineer at Med-Tech.

Leonid Fomin holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Management which they obtained from California State University, Northridge. Leonid completed this degree from 2005 to 2007. Prior to their master's degree, Leonid earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from the same institution. Leonid pursued their undergraduate studies from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their academic qualifications, Leonid Fomin has obtained several certifications. Leonid is certified in ISO 19011:2018-Management Systems Auditing and ISO 27001 -Information Security Management Systems, both from BSI, in May 2020. Furthermore, they hold the Certified SAFe 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc., which they acquired in June 2020.
