Huw Thomas

Huw Thomas is an advisor at CAS (The Cellular Agriculture Society) and a former managing director of Carbon13. Huw has also founded Better World Consulting, where they provide support for early stage companies and entrepreneurs focused on the future of food, sustainability, animal welfare, and biotech. In addition to their work with startups, Huw has also served as a strategic advisor for Airband Technologies, Mzansi Meat Co., and Counterfactual Ventures. Huw is also the head of EMEA for the iGEM Competition and was an entrepreneur in residence at Entrepreneur First.

Huw Thomas has a Master of Business Administration from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, which they completed in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems from The University of Edinburgh in 2011. Huw also has a BEng (Hons) in Computer & Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick, which they completed in 2009 with top marks.
