Dr. Caterina Clementi has been in the Reproductive Biology field for the past 15 years. She obtained an M.S. in Reproductive Biotechnologies from the University of Florence (Italy) and worked as a research assistant in the andrology lab of Prof. Elisabetta Baldi, and then at the IVF clinic Tecnobios Procreazione in Bologna (Italy). She obtained a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology from Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX) where, under the co-mentorship of Prof. Martin Matzuk and Prof. Franco DeMayo, she investigated the role of the TGFβ pathway in ovarian and uterine biology. For her postdoctoral research, Caterina studied the mechanisms of uterine feto-maternal immunotolerance in the lab of Prof. Adrian Erlebacher at NYU Langone Medical Center. For her work, she received a Fellowship Award from the Lalor Foundation, which supports Research and Innovation in Reproductive Health.
