Jessica Meinke has held a variety of roles in the biochemistry and pharmaceutical industries since 2006. Jessica began their career at BioPhase Solutions as a Senior Research Associate in 2006, where they assisted in the research and analysis of the PSA Amplification Reagent reformulation for the PROGENSA PCA3 Assay. Jessica then joined Gen-Probe Inc. in 2007 as a Research Associate IV in Oncology Development, where they led and assisted in the design and development of TMPRSS2:ERG TMA HPA qualitative and quantitative assays on multiple manual assay platforms. In 2012, Jessica joined Hologic (formerly Gen-Probe) as a Research Associate IV in Viral RT-PCR Development, where they led and assisted in the development of a 96-well multiplex respiratory diagnostic assay. In 2013, Jessica began their PhD studies in Biochemistry at The University of Texas at Austin, where they cloned, expressed, and purified Polyketide Synthase (PKS) domains from E. coli for crystallographic screening and optimization. Jessica then solved and refined six x-ray crystal structures of PKS domains to discern important enzymatic features required for polyketide biosynthesis. Finally, in 2019, Jessica joined Celsius Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist I, Protein Sciences and Biologics, and later a Scientist II and Scientist I.
Jessica Meinke obtained their Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Davis between 2002 and 2006. Jessica then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin, which they completed in 2018.
