Eve Hamilton

Research Assistant II at Celtic Renewables

Eve has an undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Pharmacology from the University of Strathclyde, where she was also part of the Drug Discovery Vertically Integrated Project for Sustainable Development. Her team aimed to develop new techniques for discovering novel antibiotic-producing organisms, mainly from the genus Streptomyces, by using hyperspectral imaging. Her continued interest in microbiology led her to complete a master’s degree in Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Strathclyde, where she learned more about microbiology applications in industry, sustainability, and circular economy models. She even had the opportunity to complete a work placement at a gene therapy company before joining Celtic Renewables.
