Vijay Selvam

Vijay Selvam currently serves as a Research Assistant II at The Jackson Laboratory, focusing on the Rare Disease Translational Center since August 2022. Prior to this, Vijay worked as a Research and Development Scientist (Junior) at Oxsed from October 2021 to May 2022, where responsibilities included developing new LAMP-based diagnostic assays and conducting market research analysis. Vijay's experience also includes a postgraduate study at The University of Sheffield, where a Master's degree in Human and Molecular Genetics was obtained, and an undergraduate degree in Genetics from SRM IST Chennai. Additional research experience encompasses a research internship at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where new cell lines were established and therapeutic strategies were tested, along with various internships that provided hands-on training in genetic diagnostics and counseling techniques.
