Eytan Breman

Eytan Breman is the Director of R&D at Celyad. Eytan has previously worked as a PhD at LUMC, Departement of Nephrology and as an Intern at UMC Utrecht, Department of dermatology and allergology. Eytan's focus has been on the development of a method to monitor indirect allorecognition in renal transplant recipients. Eytan has developed an ex-vitro method that utilizes HLA expressing cells, HLA monomers or HLA derived long synthetic peptides. These have been used as antigen sources and next to successfully developing the method, they have setup two clinical studies. One with renal transplant recipients and one with pregnant women that did or did not develop antibodies again HLA.

Eytan Breman has a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Antwerp in transplant immunology, a Master of Science from Leiden University in Bio-Pharmacy - Drug delivery and Biopharmaceutical sciences, and a Bachelor of applied Sciences from Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences in Biochemistry. Eytan also has an engineer certificate.
