Yago Castro Izaguirre

Yago Castro Izaguirre is currently serving as the President of CEMEX Egypt & UAE since November 2023. Prior to this role, Yago held significant positions at Caribbean Cement Company as Managing Director from July 2019 to December 2023 and as General Manager at Arawak Cement Co. from May 2018 to May 2019. Yago's extensive experience at CEMEX from September 2004 to April 2018 includes roles such as Strategic & Financial Planning Director for Nicaragua, Guatemala & Salvador, Business Development Director for Spain & Europe, and Business Development Manager in Israel. Yago began the career with CEMEX as Project Manager and also held operational roles as Operations Manager and Production Manager at a cement plant, culminating in a background as a Process Engineer at the cement plant. Yago holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School and a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
