Remington Tonar

Remington Tonar is a distinguished entrepreneur and academic with extensive experience in innovation and strategy across multiple sectors. As the Co-Founder of Cart.com since August 2020, Tonar has contributed to the company's rapid growth, achieving over $400M ARR and unicorn status within four years. In addition, Tonar serves as an Adjunct Professor at Rice University's Liu Idea Lab for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, teaching Entrepreneurial Strategy in the nation's leading graduate entrepreneurship program. Other significant roles include serving as a Strategic Innovation Advisor at Fluor Corporation and a Strategic Advisor for Cemvita Factory Inc. Tonar has also held key positions at Origin Business Studio and The Cannon, where leadership in business development and innovation was paramount. Prior experience includes work as a Senior Contributor at Forbes and roles at Confecta Capital, Siegel Corp, and Teliris. Academically, Tonar holds a PhD from the University of Aberdeen, an MS from New York University, an MA from Loyola University Chicago, and a BA from Marquette University.
