Davi Ludvig Goncalves, PhD, is a research scientist with extensive expertise in bioenergy solutions and microbial genetic engineering. Currently serving as a Research Scientist II at Cemvita Factory Inc. since July 2022, Davi has led various projects focused on renewable energy and developed over 70 genetically engineered yeast strains. Prior roles include Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where Davi managed multiple projects and mentored students, and Industrial Postdoctoral Researcher at Braskem, specializing in metabolic pathway construction for renewable chemicals. Davi's academic background includes a PhD in Biochemistry and a Master's in Biotechnology from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, complemented by significant research training in Japan and Brazil.
