Kun Liu

Kun Liu is an experienced geophysicist currently serving as a Staff Geophysicist at Cenovus Energy since November 2010, focusing on geological optimization for the Christina Lake asset. Their responsibilities include geophysical support for strat well/horizontal pad planning and reservoir characterization, successfully supporting a 100 strat well program and two commercial SAGD pads. Prior to this role, Kun Liu worked as a Senior Geophysicist with a focus on Bakken light oil development. Kun Liu's previous experience includes a position at Encana Corporation from January 2005 to November 2010, where contributions were made to projects involving medium gravity oil development and gas field discovery in Alberta and British Columbia. Kun Liu holds a Master of Science in Exploration Geophysics from the University of Calgary and a Master’s Degree in Solid Geophysics from the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
