Bernd Hitzeroth

Bernd Hitzeroth has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Bernd is currently the Head of Research at Zoa since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Research at Bulb from January 2020 to March 2023. Before their role at Bulb, they had an extensive tenure at ReD Associates, where they held the positions of Partner from July 2018 to January 2020 and Senior Manager from April 2008 to July 2018. Bernd also worked as a Design Strategist at Native Design from May 2006 to February 2008, and as a User Experience Consultant at Vodafone (London) from January 2006 to May 2006. Bernd began their career as a Masters student at Interaction Design Institute Ivrea from 2004 to 2005 and started as a Designer & Developer at Wireframe Studio in 2003.

Bernd Hitzeroth attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design & Illustration from Stellenbosch University from 1999 to 2002. In the years 2003 to 2005, they pursued further studies at the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, where they earned a Masters degree in Interaction Design.
