Eirik Herskedal

VP, Engineering at Censys

Eirik Herskedal is the VP of Engineering at Censys. Eirik has over 15 years of experience in the tech industry, with a focus on software development.

Eirik started their career as a software developer at Microsoft in 2005. Eirik worked on a variety of projects during their three years at the company, including the development of the PKI Client for Symantec. In 2008, they left Microsoft to join TrustBearer Labs as the VP of Technology.

At TrustBearer, Eirik was responsible for the development and implementation of the TrustBearer Authentication Platform. The platform was acquired by Symantec in 2010, and Eirik continued to work on the project as an engineering manager. Eirik oversaw the integration of the TrustBearer client with Symantec's certificate services backend, and managed the client team for MPKI 8.x. In 2013, they left Symantec to join Censys as the VP of Engineering.

At Censys, Eirik is responsible for leading the engineering team and developing new products and features. Eirik has helped Censys grow from a small startup to a leading provider of cyber security data and analytics.

Their manager is Brad Brooks, CEO. Eirik Herskedal works with Will Saso - VP, WW Sales, Steven Webster - Chief Marketing Officer, and Jasmine Burns - VP, People & Culture.
