Sebastian Rodriguez

Sebastian Rodriguez has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Sebastian currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at foodpanda, a role they began in January 2023. Prior to this, Sebastian held the position of VP of Engineering at foodpanda, where they oversaw engineering organizations in Berlin, Turkey, Singapore, and Taiwan. Sebastian also had the responsibility of Senior Director of Engineering at foodpanda, leading two tribes within the platform and delivering new global products.

Before joining foodpanda, Sebastian worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the Head of Developer Solution Architects in ASEAN and as a Senior Software Development Manager for AWS CloudWatch. Sebastian led a team of Developer solutions architects at AWS, enhancing the developer experience building on top of AWS. At Facebook, Sebastian served as a Production Engineering Manager. Additionally, they previously worked at Thales Solutions Asia as a Technical Authority and Software/Technical Manager, where they were involved in urban security R&D projects.

Earlier in their career, Sebastian held positions at Sun Microsystems, Credit Agricole, and Ford Motor Company as a Campus Ambassador, Trainee, and IT Technical Assistant, respectively.

Sebastian Rodriguez completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Rennes from 2003 to 2006. Sebastian then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, which they completed from 2006 to 2009. In 2008, they also studied at Nanyang Technological University Singapore for a short period, specializing in Computer Engineering. In 2012, Sebastian obtained TOGAF certification from NUS.
