Jean-Luc Deschamps CPA has extensive work experience in various financial roles. Jean-Luc is currently working as the CFO en résidence Centech at Centech Mtl, where they assist entrepreneurs from different technological sectors in establishing their businesses. Prior to their current role, Jean-Luc worked as an independent professional at jldeschamps. Jean-Luc also served as the Vice-président des finances at Solotech Inc. from July 2017 to August 2019, where they contributed to the company's financial management.
Before Solotech, Jean-Luc held the position of Vice-Président Principal & CFO at NewLook from November 2007 to June 2015. In this role, they managed the company's growth and implemented strategic financial systems and performance indicators.
Jean-Luc's previous experience includes being a Conseiller bénévole at Fondation Montréal Inc. from 2008 to 2015, and a Chargé de cours - DESS - Contrôle stratégique at HEC Montréal from September 2007 to September 2013. Jean-Luc also served as the Vice-Président Finances at Van Houtte from April 2005 to November 2007, and at Cirque du Soleil from October 2000 to February 2005.
Additionally, Jean-Luc gained valuable experience as the Contrôleur corporatif - Trésorier at Gaz Métro from January 1998 to September 2000, and as the VP finances at Unigesco - Groupe Sodisco Howden from September 1989 to November 1997. Throughout their career, Jean-Luc has demonstrated their expertise in strategic control, financial management, and partnership-building between finance and operations.
From 1974 to 1977, Jean-Luc Deschamps CPA pursued their Bachelor of Business Administration (BAA) degree in Accounting from HEC Montréal.
