John Tziortzis

AVP, Information Technology at Centennial College

John Tziortzis is the AVP of Information Technology at Centennial College. John has over 20 years of experience in the field of information technology and cyber security.

John started their career as a business analyst with Logistics Consulting Toronto in 2000. John quickly rose through the ranks and became a principal consultant within a few years. In 2004, they left Logistics Consulting Toronto to join IRMC as a business analyst.

In 2005, John joined the Ontario Public Service as a senior manager of strategic cyber security services. John held this position for 11 years before moving to President's Choice Financial in 2016 as the senior manager of cyber security and IT risk. John held this position for 4 years before joining Centennial College in 2020.

Throughout their career, John has also been involved with several professional organizations. John served on the steering committee of the Public Sector Project Management Forum from 2013 to 2014 and was a member of the advisory board of ProjectWorld from 2013 to 2014.

John Tziortzis has a Masters of Business Administration from Ryerson University in the Management of Technology and Innovation. John also has a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University in Information Technology Management. In addition, they have various certifications from different organizations such as CompTIA, ISC², HISPI, SABSA Institute, and Proofpoint.

John Tziortzis reports to Craig Stephenson, President & CEO. They are on a team with Amy Morrell - AVP, Institutional Effectiveness, Linda Barlow - Director of Development - Major Giving and Campaign, and Charmaine Hack - VP, Strategic Enrollment Management.
