Kate Merrill Ed.d.

Kate Merrill, Ed.D. has over 20 years of experience in the field of education. Kate has worked in various roles including Managing Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Center City Public Charter Schools, where they led a curriculum overhaul resulting in increased student proficiency rates. Kate also served as a Project Lead at SchoolKit, where they facilitated the selection and adoption process for K-12 mathematics curricula and provided professional development for district and school leaders. Kate worked as a Curriculum Designer at Relay Graduate School of Education, teaching and designing graduate courses in secondary mathematics. Additionally, Kate has experience as a Manager of Teacher Leadership Development at Teach For America, an administrator at River Road Middle School and Perquimans County Middle School, and a teacher at YouthBuild Albuquerque, Sanderson High School, and Southern Alamance High School.

Kate Merrill, Ed.D., started their educational journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mathematics from Elon University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mathematics Education at North Carolina State University from 2001 to 2003. Kate then attended The George Washington University from 2006 to 2007, where they earned an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General. Lastly, Kate completed their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership at UCLA from 2010 to 2013, concluding their formal education.
