Greg Grant is an experienced professional in the fields of defense and national security, currently serving as an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security since October 2018. Previously, Greg held senior positions at MITRE, including Senior Principal at the AI & Autonomy Innovation Center and Director of the Center for Technology and National Security, as well as Senior Director for Strategy at the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) of the Department of Defense. Greg's extensive background includes key roles within the U.S. Department of Defense, where responsibilities spanned from director-level positions to serving as speechwriter for multiple Secretaries of Defense. Greg began a career in journalism as a military and defense writer and freelance war correspondent, covering significant global conflicts, and holds a Master’s degree in International Economics and Strategic Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Utah.
