Jason Dempsey

Jason Dempsey serves as an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security, focusing on Military, Veterans, and Society since July 2015. Dempsey is also a Co-Founder of MILLIE, an online community aimed at easing the military moving process. Previously, Dempsey held various roles in the US Army, culminating as an Infantry Officer until July 2015, including positions such as Special Assistant to the Chairman at the Office of the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Combat Adviser to the Afghan Border Police. Dempsey’s extensive background includes participation as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the White House Task Force on Veterans, contributing to initiatives to enhance the welfare of military families and veterans. Dempsey's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in American Politics from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a PhD in Political Science from Columbia University.
