Philip Sheers is an experienced professional in research and analysis, currently serving as a Research Assistant for the Defense Program at the Center for a New American Security since August 2023. Prior roles include Risk Analyst at Ipsos and Columnist for the Georgetown Security Studies Review, where opinion pieces on international security issues were submitted. Philip's background includes significant research work for Professor Ben Connable, focused on contemporary warfare, and experience as a paralegal, conducting legal research and managing case materials. An educator with a foundation in teaching English Language Arts, Philip has also actively participated in political engagement efforts as a Fellow for the Ohio Democratic Party. Academically, Philip is pursuing a Master's degree in Security Studies at Georgetown University, supplemented by a graduate certificate in Secondary Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Kenyon College.
