Lisa Maynard is a highly experienced professional in the field of adoption and foster care, currently serving as a Training and Implementation Specialist at the Center for Adoption Support and Education since April 2015. As co-owner of the Adoption Center of Upstate New York, Lisa specializes in counseling, consultation, and training related to adoption and foster care. In addition to a role as Senior Consultant at the National Center on Adoption and Permanency since September 2014, Lisa operates SatiVirya, a private practice that employs a mindfulness-based approach to therapy for adoptive families and individuals. With over 30 years of professional and personal experience in adoption, Lisa has held various significant positions including Director of Adoption Services at Hillside Family of Agencies and Co-Founder of the Adoption Resource Network. Lisa holds a Master of Social Work from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Empire State College.
