Selim Alan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Selim began their career as a Financial Controlling Trainee at Fiba Group in 2012 and later worked as a Sales Trainee at Robert Bosch GmbH from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they briefly served as an Assistant Treasury Specialist at Turkcell. Following this, Selim joined TRT World in 2016, where they held roles as a Broadcast Journalist at the Business Desk and later as an Interview Producer at Nexus until 2021. In 2020, they became a Senior Advisor at Globaleye, a position they held until 2022. In the same year, Selim took on the role of Managing Editor at Transatlantic Policy Quarterly and later became the Editor-in-Chief until 2022. Currently, Selim is working as the Director of Communications at the Center for AI and Digital Policy.
Selim Alan attended the Özyeğin University from 2008 to 2013, where they studied Business Administration. Selim then pursued a postgraduate degree in Journalism at the London School of Journalism from 2017 to 2018.

The Center for AI and Digital Policy aims to ensure that artificial intelligence and digital policies promote a better society, more fair, more just, and more accountable – a world where technology promotes broad social inclusion based on fundamental rights, democratic institutions, and the rule of law. As an independent non-profit corporation, the Center for AI and Digital Policy will bring together world leaders, innovators, advocates, and thinkers to promote established frameworks for AI policy – including the OECD AI Principles and the Universal Guidelines for AI – and to explore emerging challenges.
