Allison L McManus

Allison L McManus is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership, research, and policy analysis within various organizations. Currently serving as Managing Director at the Center for American Progress since June 2023, McManus has previously held key positions such as Managing Director and Research Director at The Freedom Initiative from September 2020 to June 2023, and Senior Fellow at the Center for Global Policy for a brief period in 2020. Prior roles include Research Director at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy, Co-editor of the Maghreb Page at Jadaliyya, and Teaching and Research Assistant at UC Santa Barbara.
