Casey Peeks

Casey Peeks is an experienced education and policy professional currently serving as Senior Director of Early Childhood Policy at the Center for American Progress since January 2024. Previously, Casey was the Director of Federal Policy at the Children's Defense Fund and worked as a Professional Staff Member focused on Early Childhood and Child Welfare for the U.S. House of Representatives. Additional experience includes roles as Federal Policy Analyst at Child Care Aware of America and Education Policy Fellow for the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. Earlier career highlights feature positions as Founding Lead Kindergarten Teacher at KIPP Bay Area Schools and Kindergarten Teacher at Saint Louis Public Schools. Casey holds a Master of Education in Education Policy and Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Public Service, Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
