Center for Applied Behavior Analysis (CABA)

CABA is dedicated to providing evidence-based supports to individuals of all ages with neurodevelopmental disorders. Our services include Home and School-Based ABA, Group Social Skills, Specialized Therapeutic Services (for individuals with severely challenging behaviors), Tailored Adult Day Services, and Enhanced Behavioral Support Homes (EBSH) for both adolescents and adults. CABA also has an active Research Lab, and serves as an approved practicum site for several local universities with approved Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB) course sequences. We at CABA take a great deal of pride in ensuring active direct involvement from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) across all of our service lines. This way, we can ensure that we are truly employing evidence-based practices toward improving independence and increasing quality of life for those whom we are fortunate enough to support. CABA's founder, Dr. Rachel Taylor (formerly Tarbox) has been fortunate enough to practice in the field of behavior analysis for nearly 20 years (initially working in several prestigious institutions including the New England Center for Children and the Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital). She served as the Membership Board Coordinator for the International Association for Behavior Analysis (ABAI) and on the Board of Directors for the California Association for Behavior Analysis (CalABA). She was the founding Department Chair for the Masters and PhD programs in ABA at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles and also held faculty positions at California State University, Los Angeles and California State University, Channel Islands. Dr. Taylor has served as a Guest Action Editor for the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and has published in a number of peer reviewed journals. Her research is also featured in the seminal textbook: Applied Behavior Analysis, by Cooper, Heron and Heward.
