Alejandro Gutierrez

Alejandro Gutierrez currently serves as the Director of Genetic Services and the Director of Breeding at The Center for Aquaculture Technologies (CAT) since June 2023. Prior to this role, Alejandro worked as a Lecturer in Genetic Improvement at the University of Stirling from October 2020 to May 2023. Alejandro's research background includes a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Roslin Institute from September 2015 to March 2019, and a Doctoral Student at Simon Fraser University from January 2011 to January 2015, where Alejandro obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology. Alejandro's academic journey began at Universidad de Concepción, where Alejandro studied Marine Biotechnology from March 2004 to November 2009.
