Andrew Detzel

Andrew Detzel is a Senior Scientist currently working at SK pharmteco since May 2022, where responsibilities include leading the downstream development of purification processes for AAV and lentiviral vectors. Prior to this role, Andrew served as a Senior Scientist at GSK since May 2019, focusing on the development of manufacturing processes for large molecules, including monoclonal antibodies. Andrew also held positions at GSK as an Investigator, contributing to continuous manufacturing processes for monoclonal antibody therapeutics, and at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from January 2011 to April 2019, where responsibilities included leading downstream development in the Large Molecule API group. Earlier career experience includes working at Frontage Laboratories, Inc. and WuXi AppTec, both in analytical chemistry roles within GMP and GLP environments. Andrew Detzel holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University, obtained in 2004.
