Fernanda Vasconcelos

Fernanda Vasconcelos is an Associate Principal Scientist at SK pharmteco since May 2024 and a Senior Scientist at the Center for Breakthrough Medicines since February 2022, where responsibilities include developing analytical assays for gene and cell therapy products and ensuring GxP compliance. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Missouri-Columbia focusing on plant gene editing and pathogen resistance, and a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Florida investigating molecular interactions with bacterial pathogens. Earlier roles encompassed research assistance and teaching at various academic institutions, where skills in molecular biology, protein expression, and pedagogy were developed. Fernanda holds a PhD in Microbiology from USP - Universidade de São Paulo and dual Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Education from Universidade de Brasília.
