Garima Desai

Garima Desai is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in environmental studies and economics. Currently, Garima serves as a Board Member (Alumni Seat) for the Center for Civic Education since July 2022. Previous experience includes a role as a US Clean Energy Intern at the World Resources Institute and a Fellow at Citizens' Climate Lobby. Additional positions have involved consulting at Resources for the Future and working as a Transportation Planner I at AECOM. Academic contributions include research assistant roles at the Environmental Studies Department at UCSC and teaching assistant positions. Garima Desai holds an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford and a double major in Environmental Studies and Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
