Cori Manthorne Austin

Cori Manthorne Austin has a diverse and extensive work experience in the nonprofit sector. Cori currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at the Center for Community Solutions, a role they have held since February 2023. Prior to this, they were the Chief Operating Officer at the same organization from March 2020 to February 2023.

Before joining the Center for Community Solutions, Cori worked as the Director of Housing at Interfaith Community Services from November 2019 to March 2020. In this role, they oversaw various housing programs and managed a budget of approximately $4 million.

As an independent contractor from December 2017 to November 2019, Cori worked as a consultant providing services such as curriculum development, program evaluation, and project management for nonprofits and social service providers. Cori also wrote proposals and assisted in grant management and contract compliance.

Cori has also worked at the County of San Mateo as a Human Services Analyst II/Collaborative Community Outcomes, where they coordinated and led special projects from January 2019 to March 2019. Additionally, they served on the Board of Directors of the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence from October 2012 to September 2018.

Earlier in their career, Cori held various roles at CORA - Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse, including Director of Programs from May 2008 to December 2017, and at the Center for Community Solutions as Director of Counseling Services/Director of North County Services from August 2002 to May 2008.

Cori's work experience also includes their time at the EYE Counseling & Crisis Center from August 1998 to August 2002, where they served as a Counseling Program Manager, Group Facilitator, and Advanced Clinical Intern. Cori was responsible for managing batterer intervention programs and providing clinical services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Cori was also involved in the San Diego County Domestic Violence Council's training committee.

Cori Manthorne Austin began their education in 1992 at Menlo College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Cori then pursued further studies at Alliant International University-San Diego Campus, earning a Master's of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology and Forensics from 1995 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Cori Manthorne Austin has obtained various certifications. In 2007, they became a Field Placement Supervisor for the School of Social Work at San Diego State University. Furthermore, in 2017, they became a Certified Danger Assessment Assessor at John Hopkins School of Nursing through the Danger Assessment program.
